Called a taxi to bring the broken TV to a supermarket where I had bought November last year. Couldn't put it in the boot, so it sat beside my girl at the back seat. The refund of the TV went smoothly as I had phoned the customer helpline on the day it broke. We were hoping that we would buy the same make in the supermarket. Found exactly the same one on the display self, but no boxes around... Asked a staff, but he told me that they didn't have any left in the store. Why do they display a TV which they don't sell any more??
Disappointed, we walked to the town centre. Went into a catalog shop where I bought a digital camera before. Yes, they had TVs which I was looking for. Lucky that there was only one left in stock. Called a taxi to bring the TV home. Surprise, surprise, the same car and the same taxi driver! Couldn't get the box in the boot, couldn't put it in the back seat!!! Panicked, but we tried the front seat. It went in and the door closed OK with the window down. Really tight. The driver couldn't move the gear, but somehow he drove off. After me repeating "Sorry for the trouble", the back mirror broke off, pushed by the corner of the box too much!! Of course the driver was not a happy man, but he said that he wouldn't charge extra. Of course I gave him extra, otherwise I would be feeling guilty for ages. Typical that nothing goes smoothly whenever I try to do something.
It was easy to set up the TV. My girls were surprised that I could programme everything so quickly. Of course I have no problem doing this sort of stuff. I was always the one who installed everything whenever we bought an electrical stuff. Now I keep checking if the new TV is working OK. Yes, I',m paranoid. But how could I not become paranoid after getting the 6th TV in 11 years!
